Welcome back to episode 2 of the Future Self series! Missed episode 1? Go back and start there (that's where we break down what this whole series is about)Today we're zooming in on the decades that, looking at our data, most of you are in right now: your twenties and thirties. I think your twenties are the most formative decade of your life, and the choices you make now compound harder than they ever will again. So this episode is all about how to learn to take risks without sabotaging your future. I'm handing the mic to Jemma Sbeg, creator of The Psychology of Your 20s, one of the biggest psychology podcasts in the world. She brings the same research-obsessed energy she's known for (some of her episodes take 10+ hours to write), so you're in great hands.Jemma's also put together a follow-up exercise and her personal recommendations in this week's Working Hard newsletter, so you can actually do something with what you hear today.+JEMMA SBEGListen to The Psychology of Your 20s: https://www.psychologyofyour20s.com/Follow TPOY20s: https://www.instagram.com/thatpsychologypodcast/?hl=en+SIGN UP TO THE WORKING HARD NEWSLETTER FOR JEMMA'S RECOMMENDATIONS: https://www.workinghard.co.uk/welcome+FOLLOW THE PODCASTInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/workinghardpod/?hl=enTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@workinghardpodcast+DILEMMA SUBMISSIONIf you'd like to submit any dilemmas to the podcast to be answered in the bonus episodes, please send them to podcast@grace-beverley.com with the subject beginning DILEMMAS or DM us @workinghardpod on instagram!+MY LINKS: https://gracebeverley.komi.io/+RETROGRADE, SHREDDY, TALA and THE PRODUCTIVITY METHOD are my own businesses, therefore any mention of them - whilst not being a sponsorship - is monetarily endorsed. If you've been here a while, you might have noticed something’s a little different about this episode, and that’s because this is the first episode of our brand new series, the Future Self Series!!So this episode is the first of a twelve-part series - one that’s completely free, and designed to help you reverse engineer the life you want whilst I'm on my mat leave. While I’m gone, I’ll be passing the mic to some incredible experts who’ll take you through episodes we’ve worked really hard to build together. These are people I love, who've genuinely shaped how I think about mindset, identity, money, health, relationships, social media. They’re at the top in their fields, and I’ve hand-picked every single one of them (because I don’t share this mic with just anyone).I’ve invited them all to the office to break down their own versions of formulas that they’ve used to design specific parts of their own lives. And of course if you know me, you’ll know there has to be a structure to all this. So this first episode is the start of part 1 - the first of 3 parts:- Part 1 will help you figure out WHAT your plan actually looks like- Part 2 will look at how you can execute it- Part 3, looks at how you can perfect the systems around you to help your plan run as smoothly as possible So for this first episode, there is genuinely no one I would rather open this entire series with than Roxie Nafousi. If you’ve been living under a rock, Roxie is the author of Manifest, a Sunday Times Bestseller, which became an absolute phenomenon and has sold over 1 million copies in 37 languages. If part of you doesn't quite believe your ideal life is possible right now, I promise you'll leave this episode feeling motivated, convinced, and genuinely deserving of every bit of it.+ROXIE NAFOUSIInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/roxienafousi/?hl=en Website: https://roxienafousi.com/ Manifest App: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/the-manifest-app/id6759167090 +SIGN UP TO THE WORKING HARD NEWSLETTER FOR ROXIE'S RECOMMENDATIONS: https://www.workinghard.co.uk/welcome +FOLLOW THE PODCASTInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/workinghardpod/?hl=enTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@workinghardpodcast +DILEMMA SUBMISSIONIf you'd like to submit any dilemmas to the podcast to be answered in the bonus episodes, please send them to podcast@grace-beverley.com with the subject beginning DILEMMAS or DM us @workinghardpod on instagram!+MY LINKS: https://gracebeverley.komi.io/+RETROGRADE, SHREDDY, TALA and THE PRODUCTIVITY METHOD are my own businesses, therefore any mention of them - whilst not being a sponsorship - is monetarily endorsed. We've spent the last decade optimising everything: next-day delivery, one-tap payments, infinite scroll, food at the door in 20 minutes. And yet somehow, most of us feel more scattered, less satisfied, and less capable than ever. I read an article about 'friction-maxxing' in The Cut, and wanted to explore why?Katherine's article in The Cut: https://www.thecut.com/article/brooding-friction-maxxing-new-years-2026-resolution.html The catch-up friends bonus episode: https://open.spotify.com/episode/2t3hom9tw1TYmCalzFO2Si +SIGN UP TO THE WORKING HARD NEWSLETTER: https://www.workinghard.co.uk/welcome+FOLLOW THE PODCASTInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/workinghard...TikTok: / workinghardpodcast+DILEMMA SUBMISSIONIf you'd like to submit any dilemmas to the podcast to be answered in the bonus episodes, please send them to podcast@grace-beverley.com with the subject beginning DILEMMAS or DM us @workinghardpod on instagram!+MY LINKS: https://gracebeverley.komi.io/+RETROGRADE, SHREDDY, TALA and THE PRODUCTIVITY METHOD are my own businesses, therefore any mention of them - whilst not being a sponsorship - is monetarily endorsed. Our first ever live podcast happened this summer, so I thought I'd share it with you! Thanks so much to Jemma Sbeg for joining me and 22 Bishopsgate for hosting us.If you haven't heard of Jemma Sbeg, she is the host of The Psychology of Your 20s, one of the most listened-to podcasts in the world. It recently ranked in the global top 20, and was launched on Netflix last year. But what makes Jemma even more interesting is the story of how she got there: she started the podcast as a side project whilst working an 80-plus hour week in a corporate job. She built it episode by episode, using her background in psychology to break down the things that make ambitious people feel stuck, anxious, and like they're falling behind.I really hope you love our chat! And if you want to come to a live pod in the future, let me know! +JEMMA SBEGListen to The Psychology of Your 20s: https://www.psychologyofyour20s.com/ Follow TPOY20s: https://www.instagram.com/thatpsychologypodcast/?hl=en+SIGN UP TO THE WORKING HARD NEWSLETTER: https://graceb.myflodesk.com/k0sfhlac34+FOLLOW THE PODCASTInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/workinghard...TikTok: / workinghardpodcast+DILEMMA SUBMISSIONIf you'd like to submit any dilemmas to the podcast to be answered in the bonus episodes, please send them to podcast@grace-beverley.com with the subject beginning DILEMMAS or DM us @workinghardpod on instagram!+MY LINKS: https://gracebeverley.komi.io/+RETROGRADE, SHREDDY, TALA and THE PRODUCTIVITY METHOD are my own businesses, therefore any mention of them - whilst not being a sponsorship - is monetarily endorsed. Today I thought we could go through the five systems that have had the biggest impact on both my productivity and my happiness. And I want to say both of those things deliberately, because I think we talk about productivity like it's separate from how we feel. In my experience, it really isn't. When the systems are right, you feel better. And the whole reason I like productivity is that it leaves more space for not working, and the fun bits!!The other episodes I mentioned: - The calendar bonus episode: https://open.spotify.com/episode/3YUDprqI5UKB2KHn379C8U - The goal setting episode: https://youtu.be/kHbdjlyMrVQ?si=HjDrv4Lwadd_JtUb +SIGN UP TO THE WORKING HARD NEWSLETTER: https://graceb.myflodesk.com/k0sfhlac34+FOLLOW THE PODCASTInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/workinghard...TikTok: / workinghardpodcast +DILEMMA SUBMISSIONIf you'd like to submit any dilemmas to the podcast to be answered in the bonus episodes, please send them to podcast@grace-beverley.com with the subject beginning DILEMMAS or DM us @workinghardpod on instagram!+MY LINKS: https://gracebeverley.komi.io/+RETROGRADE, SHREDDY, TALA and THE PRODUCTIVITY METHOD are my own businesses, therefore any mention of them - whilst not being a sponsorship - is monetarily endorsed.
