We have hit 700 episodes of this podcast, y’all. I get goosebumps when I say that.If you would have told me in February of 2020 that I would still be doing this show, I would be so shocked. And it is because of you. When I started the show, I was still really, really deep in my healing journey, and all of the things I was teaching were because I desperately needed it. I’m not the same person that I was when I started this show. So this one is just you and me, like we’re out to coffee, and I’m telling you about this journey.Inside the Episode:Why I am the most supported I’ve ever been in my life, and what it took to finally feel worthy of supportThe four things I am really, really proud of since I launched this podcast 700 episodes agoWhat would be different if you stopped relying on motivation and just made the decision that you’re gonna show up?The quality of your life is the quality of your relationships. And please know, you’re so, so worthy of it.Want to do this work one-on-one with me?There’s only two spots left until the end of the year. This is your opportunity to finally rewire your brain, with direct coaching from me, customizing your healing journey so that you get to embody secure attachment and finally attract the kind of relationship that you deserve. You cannot be authentically chosen while you’re performing a version of yourself that is designed to prevent rejection. So many of you say that yes, you want to be the main character of your life, but your actions and ways of being are not aligning with truly valuing yourself. This is not about taking a solo vacation or pretending that you don’t care about love. It means that your life is no longer organized around being wanted, around finally being chosen. You can desire partnership, you can feel it in your bones, and you can live your life as the main character now. Today, I’m doing what I wish someone had done for me: we’re talking about what it actually looks like in real life to stop waiting to be chosen and start choosing yourself.Inside the Episode:The questions you’re constantly asking yourself when you’ve made somebody else the main character of your life, and the ones I want you asking insteadHow a little thing called the pandemic forced me to build a full life I was excited about (and what happened to my podcast because of it)The conversation with Robert that could have gone horribly wrong, and why it’s what secure love actually looks likeMaybe you’re like, “Dr. Morgan, I need to go deeper. Will you please hold my hand and guide me through exactly what to do?” I’ve got you. You deserve the deep work that actually changes you. The goal is not to stop wanting love. The goal is to stop losing yourself while you are trying to receive it.Today we are kicking off a brand new series, your secure relationship era, and it’s all about decentering romantic love. (There’s a huge distinction between decentering and devaluing.) Somewhere along the way, you were taught that being chosen was the ultimate proof that your life mattered. So your mood depends on their attention, your confidence depends on their consistency, and your future begins to revolve around whether they choose you. This is not your fault, but you do get to decide whether you keep building your life around this pressure. This series is about how you hold on to yourself, step into that high self-worth, high self-love, and bring in the partner that you’ve always wanted.Inside the Episode:Why you can know somebody is inconsistent, maybe even incompatible, and still feel unable to let goThe deeper heartbreak that has nothing to do with them leavingThe questions to ask instead of “How do I get them to choose me?” (Some of you will be squirming.)Ready to start rewiring? You get it logically. You know in your brain that I’m right, but you don’t actually feel it. That’s why it’s so important to do this work on a deeper level. Identity Reset is my daily practice for rewiring your brain at the subconscious level, so you have the beliefs in place that support the behaviors that allow you to hold on to yourself.Start here: https://drmorgan.lpages.co/identity-reset/Ready to break this cycle? If you are so ready to break this cycle and bring in the kind of relationship you’ve always wanted, I am here for you. I just have a couple spots left to work with me 1:1 in my VIP program. Don’t wait till 2027. You will feel so much better if you get the momentum now. 👉Apply for my One-on-One program here!
What if secure love is not the absence of passion, but the absence of pain pretending to be passion?Maybe you have spent years believing that love is pain, heartbreak, unpredictability, chasing, proving. Then you find yourself in a connection that is predictable, reliable, consistent. They do what they say they’re going to do. And instead of feeling relieved, part of you might feel unsettled: wait, where are the butterflies? In this final episode of our series, Why Love Feels So Hard Right Now, we’re talking about what to do so that you do not sabotage healthy love when it finally comes to you.Inside the Episode:Why your brain might register uncertainty as chemistryThe question to stop asking in dating, and the one to ask insteadWhy secure love needs novelty, not instability (and the Chicago trip I’ll never forget)Ready to start redefining what love is?You are getting to decide who you are becoming. You’re no longer settling for the identity, the beliefs, the standards that were just handed to you. The Identity Reset is a little practice that takes 10 to 15 minutes tops per day, and it has the potential to change everything.👉 Grab the Identity Reset todayDon’t want to be dating from survival mode anymore?I have a couple of spots open to work with me for deeper, personalized support. This is where we will look at your attachment patterns and your relationship history, and uncover the identity you’ve been operating from. Awareness doesn’t actually change you. It’s about doing this work deeply enough so you can heal and embody secure attachment. I have very limited spots as we’re winding down 2026. Apply, it takes five minutes tops. Don’t make this a 2027 thing.👉Apply for my One-on-One program here!
Sometimes the hardest relationship to get over is the one that was never actually a relationship. You weren’t officially together, you never had the DTR, but you talked with this person constantly. You were getting just enough closeness to keep you hopeful, but never enough reassurance, emotional investment, and clarity to allow you to relax. And when you try to get out, you feel ridiculous, because it wasn’t even a real relationship. I spent too much time in situationships, including one that was on again, off again for four years, so this episode is near and dear to my own heart. We’re unpacking why these connections are so hard to leave and how to actually get into the kind of relationship you really want to be in. And remember, this is not to judge yourself. This is to understand.Inside the Episode:Why you may not actually be craving the relationship at all, just the relief you feel when they finally reach outThe surprising reason situationships feel so safe when you have avoidant attachmentHow do you compete with a fantasy? Plus the clear and kind statement that finally closes the loopReady to start? The best way to leave a situationship is to become securely attached. When I did the work, ending things was as easy as brushing my teeth, because I had changed internally. The Identity Reset is a little practice that takes 10 to 15 minutes a day, and it has the potential to change everything. You are getting to decide who you are becoming. 👉 drmorgan.lpages.co/identity-reset/Ready to go deeper? I do have a couple of spots open to work with me one-on-one. You can text someone all day and know their entire childhood story, and still never feel close to them.We have more information about attachment than ever before, and somehow we’ve never been harder to reach. In this episode, I’m getting real about the emotional unavailability crisis: what emotional availability actually is, and why dating apps, social media, and even therapy speak are making it so hard to find. Here’s the part that might sting a little. Emotional unavailability doesn’t only live in the person who pulls away, and I know this because I used to be the one who swore I was the most available person in the room. Awareness is just step one, though, and I’m not leaving you stuck there.Inside the Episode:Why anxious attachment can make you just as emotionally unavailable as the person who disappears (plus the moment someone I was dating asked me, “Do you even know the real me?”)Five quiet signs you’re with someone who’s emotionally unavailable, even when they’re saying all the sweetest thingsThe one shift that changes who you attract: consistency over intensityStuck in awareness hell? You know your patterns. You can predict exactly how the movie ends. Identity Reset is my daily practice mini-course that helps you move past knowing and start becoming the securely attached version of you, one morning at a time. Start here: https://drmorgan.lpages.co/identity-reset/Ready to go deeper with me 1:1? My VIP Coaching program is for the person who has done the therapy, read the books, and still hasn’t cracked the code on a healthy relationship. We’ll work together privately to release the old patterns and embody secure attachment for real. I take a very limited number of clients, and there’s no reason to wait until January.Apply for my One-on-One program here!
Is what you’re getting enough to grieve what you’re not?My friend Sabrina Zohar is back on the show for round three, and this time she’s bringing her brand new book along. We talk about the night she sent 173 texts (her count stopped there because her phone kept refreshing), the programming that made her believe she was too much and not enough at the same time, and the moment she lost the person she was most afraid of losing. Here’s what I love about Sabrina: she will hold your hand and call you out in the same breath. If you’ve been reading every attachment book out there and still keep picking the same unavailable person, this conversation is going to land hard. Buckle up, because Sabrina does not sugarcoat.Inside the episode:Why your brain keeps choosing the “hell it knows” over the life you actually want, and the deadlift metaphor that finally explains itThe one thing nobody wants to hear about healing, and why accepting it is what sets you freeWhat healing looks like when you’re partnered with a secure person (spoiler: you still get triggered, and that’s a good sign)Connect with Sabrina:📖 Get her book, WHY AM I LIKE THIS?: Sabrinazohar.com/book 📱 Instagram: @sabrina.zohar🎧 The Sabrina Zohar Show: https://sabrinazohar.com/podcast🌐 Website: https://sabrinazohar.com/homeReady to stop knowing and start changing?Awareness was never the finish line. Have you ever been more devastated over someone you almost dated than someone you actually dated?Maybe it was only a few dates. Maybe it was never official. You still find yourself rereading the texts, checking their stories, and comparing everyone you meet to a relationship that never actually existed. I’ve been there, and there’s nothing wrong with you. Today we’re kicking off a brand new series on why love and dating feel so hard right now, starting with limerence and romantic obsession through an attachment lens. The truth is, you may not be obsessed with them at all. You may be obsessed with what being chosen by them would finally prove about you.Inside the Episode:Why “just enough” connection is more addictive than a real relationship, and the cycle that keeps you hookedHow limerence shows up differently for anxious and avoidant attachment (avoidants, this one might surprise you)The poem I wrote a guy on date number two, plus the questions I wish I’d asked firstReady to start becoming your secure self today? Grab the Identity Reset, my most popular practice. It’s 10 minutes a day to align with your highest and best self, with instant access that’s yours for life.
