Matthew 16.4 Son of Jonah, the Rock

Jesus calls Simon, "Simon son of Jonah." But there is a problem, Simon's father's name is John, not Jonah. But earlier, Jesus refers to himself as Jonah. So what does this mean? Did Jesus make a mistake? That would be impossible, but instead, Jesus is revealing to us the structure of His kingdom, appointing the chief steward of the Church. And then Jesus goes on to call Simon, Peter, the Rock.
