Feeling unqualified for what God is calling you to do is more common than you might think. But inadequacy was never meant to be a reason to step back. It was meant to be the starting point for dependency on God. Solomon faced an enormous responsibility as a young king and responded not with false confidence, but with honest humility and a request for wisdom. From his example, we learn three practical steps: own what you lack, ask God for what you need, and step forward in faith before you feel ready. God is not looking for the most impressive people. He is looking for available ones. His calling on your life is not waiting for you to become enough. It is waiting for you to trust the One who already is.
