There are seasons when God feels distant, prayers seem unanswered, and the closeness we once felt with Him appears to have faded. But the silence of God is not evidence of His absence. It may actually be His invitation to draw closer and trust Him more deeply. Psalm 13 shows us that David wrestled with this same feeling, yet instead of pulling away, he ran toward God with raw honesty and unwavering faith. God's silence can come for many reasons, including unconfessed sin, broken relationships, preparation for something greater, or simply His desire for our whole heart. Whatever the reason, the right response is never to disconnect. Like David, we can choose to anchor ourselves in God's covenant love and worship Him not because of how we feel, but because of who He is.
