In Matthew 7, Jesus closes the Sermon on the Mount with a parable about two builders. One builds on rock, the other on sand, and when the storm comes, only one house stands. The foundation of your life determines how well you hold up when pressure arrives. Doing religious things is not the same as actually knowing Jesus in a deep, personal way. What you do must flow from who you are, and who you are is shaped by your relationship with Christ. Storms are not hypothetical. They come to everyone, and when they do, they reveal what was already at the core. The good news is that it is never too late to build your life on the right foundation.
