July 28 | The Empty Backpack Prayer | Carpooling with Jesus Devotional for Kids

Hey Carpool Crew,   There's something about a brand-new empty backpack. It's not full of anything yet. It's just sitting there, full of a whole year that hasn't happened. Today on Carpooling with Jesus, Pastor Justin opens Psalm 32:8, where God promises to instruct us, show us the way, and keep His eye on us. Before a single day of the year happens, God is already promising to lead a kid through it. That empty backpack is a perfect picture of a year your kid can hand straight to God before it even starts.   This Tuesday episode hands kids three things to try this week: pray out loud over the empty backpack, whisper a quick prayer when the new year feels scary, and ask the heart question, do I think I have to carry this whole year alone, or will I let God lead it?
