July 24 | When You Didn't Get Picked | Carpooling with Jesus Devotional for Kids

Hey Carpool Crew,   Getting passed over stings way more than it should. A kid stands there acting like it's fine, but inside it hurts. Today on Carpooling with Jesus, Pastor Justin opens Psalm 34:18, where the Lord is near the brokenhearted. When a kid's heart cracks, God doesn't back away. He leans in closer, which is the exact opposite of how it feels. Not getting picked by people does not mean a kid isn't wanted by God. People can overlook them. God never does.   This Friday episode hands kids three things to try this week: tell God exactly how the hurt feels instead of stuffing it, whisper a quick prayer that God is near, and ask the heart question, do I let one not-picked moment tell me I'm worth less, or do I let God tell me the truth?
