Co-Host Emily McKay (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/coach) Emily joins me once again, this time for a fun-filled topic. Yes, we're talking about flirting...and flirting should indeed be fun. If it's work, drudgery, or even creepy and weird then we're not doing it right. Since women love fun, that means they also love to flirt. So what IS flirting really, anyway? And given the stereotype that sex slows down (or stops) after marriage, is it really flirting that stopped first? How is it that couples who actually like each other and are attracted to each other stop flirting? What killed it? The even better question is how do you get your flirt mojo back once you've lost it? Can we not lose it to begin with? What are the big differences between casual flirting with people we don't even know (yet), and flirting with someone we already know, or are in a relationship with? When Emily and I met, we flirted constantly from the first date. Have we slowed down or stopped flirting in our own relationship? And what in the world does parenthood do to flirtatious tendencies? Maybe an even better question is what does parental flirtation do to kids? Does flirting stop after marriage because it's not so easy to be naughty together anymore? After all, sex is perfectly okay in a marriage. What happens to flirting when we get in an argument with our significant other? Is there "aggression flirting" that happens right before the inevitable "make-up sex"? So the bottom line is this: If you're in a relationship and the flirting is MIA, what do you do to get back on track? And if you're hoping to be in a relationship someday, how do you make sure you never stop flirting with each other? ===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== Last week we talked about how men try to find a "workaround" for not being tall, good looking or rich...when the truth is we should be focusing more on what our strengths actually are. As a follow up, this week I'm covering another equally tricky prank we play on ourselves. The craziest part about this one is we hold ourselves to such strict account in this regard when considering our potential attractiveness to women, yet even though WOMEN also suffer from the same affliction, we as men rarely even notice...let alone care! Add it all up, and we really need to get over ourselves, stop being our own worst enemy (yet again) and start attracting women like we deserve to. Co-Host Brandon Wade (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/seeking) My first time guest Brandon Wade s the founder and co-CEO of Seeking.com, a dating platform he founded in 2006 after his own frustrations with modern dating and difficulty finding meaningful connection. For nearly 20 years, he has helped build and evolve Seeking around a core idea that now feels more relevant than ever: successful relationships start with honesty, intentionality and aligned expectations. And importantly, if the person you're with isn't inspiring you, that's a major red flag, if not a flat-out dealbreaker. Brandon freely admits that seeking.com started out as a "sugar baby" site, and that description is still somewhat accurate even nowadays. But here's the thing...despite everything I've ever warned you about regarding the whole "sugar daddy" thing, Brandon found the love of his life on his own site, despite his own take that the entire "dating industry" is rigged against successful people! After once cynically (and publicly) questioning love itself, he ultimately met his wife and co-CEO Dana on Seeking, an experience that helped shape the company's current focus on authenticity, trust and intentional dating. This was after using his own site for considerable practice improving his skills with women. So yes, his perspective is not only rooted in operating a dating platform at scale, but in his own lived experience. This wide-ranging discussion covers the rising standards among women, the low-effort dating crisis, male loneliness, and why many men are struggling to adapt to a dating culture that increasingly rewards emotional maturity, clarity and effort. ===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== For years we've been told women want tall, rich, good-looking guys...and then given workarounds, loopholes or "quick fixes" to try to get women without having any of those traits going for us. Well, how is that working out? If not so well, this brief episode exposes the real truth. It's not that you've been lied to about not needing to have won the "genetic lottery" to get women, it's just that for all these years the FOCUS has been all wrong. Here's what to do that really WORKS...without tricks...without having to be someone you're not. Also, I have a BRAND NEW report on 5 ways to get better with women RIGHT NOW. Co-Host Simone Milasas (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/simone) You have what's commonly known as relationships, you have situationships, and now you have creationships. The term was coined by my first-time guest Simone Milasas, who sheds some new light on some of the ideals we've held true for years now around here. Now obviously, a "creationship" should be the opposite of, say, a "destructionship", but what is it exactly? Simone explains all. Knowing what it is and how great it sounds, what's holding most people back from entering into one? Well, for starters, it's not medieval times anymore. We're not partnering up for political reasons or financial reasons (at least, hopefully not), we actually get to choose who we want to be with. What's the "trickle down" effect of that freedom of choice? What exactly do you get to "create" together as a couple, perhaps even in defiance of conventional wisdom and commonly held limiting beliefs? And how do today's widely held opinions on masculinity and femininity factor into all of this? How does Simone envision men and women creating together as masculine and feminine partners? What needs to be brought back again about how men and women used to relate to each other...or can it be brought back at all? What is the weirdest reason why men won't even attempt to begin a relationship with a woman anymore? ===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== Too many of us psyche ourselves out when it's time to meet a woman and invite her to spend some quality time with us. We start fearing rejection, think of the hundreds of other guys she'd probably want instead of us, and end up rationalizing our inaction. Meanwhile, sure enough...some other guy who's really no better than you ends up with her. What's he got that you don't? The truth is he probably didn't win the genetic lottery or inherit millions. All he has is a different mindset. The good news is you can "flip a switch" and get that mindset for yourself. When you do, you'll revolutionize both the ease and the simplicity with which you meet and attract women from now on.. Speaking of "flipping the switch", I have a BRAND NEW report on 5 ways to get better with women RIGHT NOW. Co-Host Gabriela Rosa (https://mountaintoppodcast.com) Sure, a lot of guys fear--or even dread--fatherhood. But what if you have the right woman in your life, are finally ready to start a family with her...but can't? And it turns out the problem isn't her, it's you. My first-time guest Gabriela Rosa is a Harvard-trained fertility specialist and founder of Fertility Breakthrough, the world's first fully virtual fertility clinic. She has helped 140,000+ people in 111 countries achieve parenthood, with a 78.8% live birth rate. So first off, does age have anything to do with this? If you drop the hammer on your 25 y.o. honey at age 90, will you still knock her up? Or is that a myth? What about women's "biological clock"? Do they worry too much about that? What are some of the ways our sperm can suffer? Did you know "silent infections" can keep us from being as potent as we could be? What is the big "misconception" people have about getting reproductive help, and why is it so counterproductive to getting results? Why won't most fertility doctors have the proper necessary conversations with infertile couples? Do you really have to masturbate in a cup to get an accurate semen sample? So what's a man to do if his sperm count is actually low? What, if any, are the environmental factors conspiring to keeping us as men from being as fertile as we could be? What are some surprising things we as men can and should do to make sure we're as capable of potentially fathering children as we could be? ===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== The idea of a rite of passage from boyhood to manhood is talked about constantly in masculinity circles. Well, even though lots of other world cultures have historically had one well-defined moment when a boy comes a man, either by ritual or simple pronouncement, that certainly is not the case here in the post-modern Western world. We look around us and see way too many "man children" whose ID cards say they're adults, but their mindset, lifestyle and character aren't quite there. What is the real point when a boy can step up and say he's truly a man? And why is it so hard to define? As it turns out, the answer is crystal clear and has been hiding in plain sight. It's just that other factors in society have obscured matters. In this brief episode we'll reveal what that TRUE rite of passage is, along with how and why everything got so confused.
