Moonlight Over the Initiation of the Damned

For tonight’s tale, we join our two courting lovers as they take their first steps into the dark netherworld of vampirism. For this is the night of their initiation into their new lives as vampires.             Before, they were but playing with the darkness. Yet this naive posturing was done in earnest. It was an artless attempt at following the dark path as it had been laid out before them by the tales of old. Though those actions would have been ridiculed had anyone been paying attention to them, they performed them in defiance of the very rules that form our notions of humanity.             Yet it was their consumption of human blood that sealed their fate. For that was the final act in the performance of an initiation ritual. That ritual was witnessed by Tomisaburo, the Demon Fox Lord of the Ruined Village. He brought them before Lord Eugene McNeil, the Vampire Lord of the Ruined Village. Lord McNeil took those two strange, young humans, and performed the final steps in turning them into vampires.             The ritual was vile and horrible, yet not in the ways they were expecting it to be. In fact, they soon found that most aspects of vampirism differed wildly from their expectations. To make matters worse, they learned they would have to make a genuine attempt at acting normal.             This tale, like its introduction, contains references to vampirism. That means it mentions the extraction of blood for the purpose of consumption. It also contains violence, body horror, blasphemy, quarter zip sweaters, cardigans, irresponsible alcohol consumption, and references to driving and malls. Furthermore, it contains profanity.
