My name is Hasi and I work in tech. Most of the time I'm brought into meetings as a window dressing - so I don't get to talk as much as I'd like. This is my outlet for my 2 cents on topics such as life, money, society and self-development plus whatever else lies up in my head. Hopefully this doesn't get me cancelled in the process.

When it comes to your career common wisdom is to 'make sure you are learning or earning in any job - ideally doing both'. In this episode I reflect on earning, learning and ultimately churning if you are doing neither by tracing through my own career thus far. Want to listen to more episodes? In this episode I reflect on how AI has changed the way I work from 2023 to the present (2026) and how it's changing software engineering, business expectations and the economy. Recount my observations from utilising AI heavy workflows and developing AI features for organisations to fundamental factors such as context that have been severely underweighted amidst the hype around the technology. I leave this episode with a number of unanswered questions that I believe we as a society should address. Want to listen to more episodes? In this episode I ponder on the thoughts regarding a question I was asked that boiled down to why perform 'long-term' behaviours in a short term situation. This often comes from the frame of perspective that the 'other' is benefiting more, or simply at all, in any engagement where the individual will in the near future lose access. I lay out my thoughts that, within reason, there are hidden benefits that often go overlooked. Want to listen to more episodes? In this episode I reflect on a morning where I watched a stranger die as I was on my way to get my morning coffee. I ponder on the fragility of life and the value of first aid training amongst other things. Want to listen to more episodes? As of recent I've been inundated in my part of the internet of people being irritated (or triggered in gen z speak) expressing deep irritation e.g. with tax reform. First it is easy for me to notice irritation in others as opposed to myself (self reflection is hard) and secondly, regardless of whether I was in (partial) agreement or not with their viewpoints, I found this to be rather ugly. Having recently read the 'Art of Happiness' by the Dalai Lama I reflect in this episode on situations where I have been the one who has been irritated and take this as an opportunity to reframe these irritations. This is simply me in my apartment reflecting on my experience of eviction as I empty my apartment, packed up my belongings (approximately 2 Mitsubishi lancers worth of possessions) and meet (some) neighbours for the first and last time. Being aware of impermanence is often cause for misery but in this episode I reflect on why it should be a reminder to be grateful for the good whilst it lasts and hopeful when times are tough.
