Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life. This week's episode was inspired by my conversation with Mark Ritson, one of the most respected marketing minds in the world. But the insights I took away had very little to do with marketing itself. Instead, they were about nostalgia, connection and simplicity. Here are the three insights that stayed with me long after the conversation ended. 1️⃣ Nostalgia Doesn't Mean You Want To Go BackAfter nearly twenty years working in agencies, sitting down with Mark felt like revisiting an old chapter of my life. We spoke about brands, media, marketing and an industry that shaped so much of who I became. It reminded me that nostalgia isn't always about wanting the past back. Sometimes it's simply gratitude for the people, experiences and lessons that helped build you. Every chapter leaves a mark, even the ones you've outgrown. 2️⃣ There Is Comfort In Being UnderstoodOne of the reasons I enjoyed this conversation so much was that I didn't need to explain myself. We could jump straight into the nuances of the industry because we shared a common language and a common experience. The older I get, the more I appreciate conversations where there is no translation required. In a world where many of us spend our lives adapting and fitting in, finding people who simply understand you is one of life's greatest comforts. 3️⃣ Simplicity Is Often The Highest Form Of MasteryOne of Mark's strongest beliefs is that people who truly understand something can explain it simply. That idea resonated deeply with me. Whether it's marketing, leadership or communication, we often hide behind complexity when we're unsure. But mastery looks different. It removes rather than adds. The best marketers simplify the strategy. The best leaders simplify the vision. The best communicators simplify the message. Because when you know the one thing you want people to remember, everything else becomes easier. Honest, reflective and straight from the heart. Off my chest and off the cuff.Welcome to Off Track.

Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life. This week’s episode was inspired by my conversation with Hala Kazim and three ideas that stayed with me long after the cameras stopped rolling. Ideas around identity, relationships and uncertainty. Three things that, in my experience, shape far more of our lives than we realise. 1️⃣ Everyone You Love Should Be Part Of Your Life, Not Your Entire Life When we get married and have children, many of us make them our whole life. I'm not here to say whether that's right or wrong. But I do believe the example we should set is one of self-awareness and self-respect. Be good to people, love people and support people, but don't lose yourself inside them. The healthiest relationships aren't two people becoming one. They're two complete people choosing to walk through life together. 2️⃣ Relationships Are The Ultimate Human Advantage The more AI grows, the more valuable human relationships become. Trust, empathy, listening and genuine connection are quickly becoming the skills that separate us. It's why I often say the presenter is more important than the presentation. People don't remember slides, they remember people. Relationships can quietly damage your life or completely transform it depending on how much you invest in them. 3️⃣ Most Of Life's Biggest Decisions Arrive Disguised As Uncertainty Buying a one way ticket to Dubai, leaving my CEO role, starting this podcast (and everything in between), none of the biggest decisions in my life came with guarantees attached. They came with doubt, risk and unanswered questions. We spend so much of our lives waiting for certainty before we act, but certainty is often the reward for action, not the prerequisite. Sometimes you simply have to back yourself and go. Closing ReflectionThe older I get, the more I realise that life isn't really about having all the answers. It's about knowing who you are, investing in the people that matter and having the courage to move forward before you're ready.

This week’s episode was inspired by my conversation with Bassem Terkawi, but also by something I think many people are quietly feeling right now… fear. Fear around the economy, the job market, paying rent, school fees, uncertainty and the pressure to keep it all together while pretending everything is fine. The conversation made me reflect deeply on my own journey. Leaving the corporate world without another job waiting for me. Losing the comfort of certainty. Questioning my identity beyond titles, salaries and external validation. And realising how much of my self-worth had become attached to achievement and proving myself. Here are the three insights behind this episode. 1️⃣ Sometimes Life Forces The Change You’re Too Scared To Make There are moments in life where you already know something no longer fits… a job, a relationship, a version of yourself, but fear keeps you there. Until eventually life makes the decision for you. Looking back, some of the hardest moments of my life were also the moments that pushed me closest towards alignment and purpose. 2️⃣ We’re Exhausted From Performance I realised a lot of us aren’t actually tired from work. We’re tired from the 'performance'. From trying to maintain polished versions of ourselves that no longer feel authentic. Chasing validation through titles, money, recognition, views or approval eventually becomes emotionally exhausting. Real freedom begins when you stop trying to impress everyone and start understanding who you actually are. 3️⃣ The Future Belongs To People Who Know Who They Are In a world becoming more artificial, self-awareness has never been more important. Knowing your voice, your values, your energy and your truth is becoming the real differentiator. That’s why creating platforms like Luca’s Insight Track and MasterPitch means so much to me, because underneath it all, helping people reconnect with themselves and feel confident enough to speak as who they really are is why I do what I do. Closing ReflectionFear never fully disappears. Even when life starts moving in the right direction, uncertainty still exists. But I’ve learned that you cannot build a meaningful life purely around fear avoidance. At some point, you have to stop obsessing over everything you can’t control and start focusing on what you can control, your mindset, your growth, your relationships and the person you’re becoming. The answers most people are desperately searching for externally usually begin internally.

This week’s episode was partly inspired by my conversation with Mirna Sabbagh, but mostly by a difficult week of my own. A week of setbacks, rejections and opportunities that didn’t quite land the way I hoped they would. The kind of week that makes you question yourself if you’re not careful. With summer approaching, many of us are pushing hard for one last win. One last deal. One last approval. One last breakthrough before everything slows down. But what happens when the reward doesn’t arrive immediately? Here are the three insights behind this episode: 1️⃣ Don’t Let A Setback Become A StoryA rejection is just an event. The problem starts when we attach meaning to it. One difficult week doesn’t mean you’re failing. One delayed decision doesn’t mean you’re on the wrong path. Don’t confuse a moment with a direction. 2️⃣ Progress Is Often InvisibleWe live in a world of instant gratification, but meaningful growth rarely works that way. Businesses, careers and personal goals all require patience. The roots grow before the tree appears. Just because you can’t see progress yet doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. 3️⃣ Protect Your MindThe hardest battle is rarely the setback itself. It’s the conversation that follows inside your own head. Through mindfulness and practices I’ve learned from the Art of Living Foundation, I’ve realised not every thought deserves attention. Focus on what you can control. Your effort. Your attitude. Your next step. Closing ReflectionThis week didn’t give me all the wins I wanted, but it gave me a reminder. Not every season is a harvest season. Some seasons are planting seasons. They ask for faith before they offer proof and effort before they offer reward. So if things feel uncertain right now, keep showing up. Keep doing the work. Keep backing yourself. The outcome will arrive when it’s ready. Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.Off my chest and off the cuff. Welcome to Off Track 🎙️💥
