EP664- One Parent Has To Be The Bad Guy...

Episode Description from the Publisher

In today's episode I talk about something most parents struggle with. Sometimes one parent has to be the bad guy. When boundaries are crossed in our house, I am usually the one who steps in. If my son hits, disrespects, or refuses to listen, there are consequences. Not out of anger. Not out of ego. But out of responsibility. There are moments when he sees me coming to put him in time out and he runs to hide behind his mom. Not because he thinks I am going to hurt him, but because he knows he did something wrong and he knows there will be a consequence. My wife has even worried that he might start seeing me as scary or bad. But I am okay with being the bad guy from time to time. Because I am not raising a child who only behaves when it is convenient. I am raising a young man who understands respect inside this house and outside of it. Discipline is not about fear. It is about structure. It is about teaching actions and consequences in a safe environment so the world does not have to teach them the hard way.  In this episode I break down why leadership in the home matters, why consistency builds security, and why sometimes being the parent who puts their foot down is the most loving thing you can do.   MY CLOTHING, CHECK OUT: https://amarokaesthetics.com/ CHECK ME OUT ON OTHER SOCIALS: IG = https://www.instagram.com/coleluisdasilva/ TIKTOK = https://www.tiktok.com/@coleluisdasilva/   WAKE UP WITH THE WOLF PODCAST: APPLE = https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/wake-up-with-the-wolf/id1533545890 SPOTIFY = https://open.spotify.com/show/6cOLgWolq6mkOnvNesuTDc?si=8b3c4f153a264e9a
