God Will Bring You Through Every Trouble — Psalm 91

The promise of Psalm 91 is that God will keep you safe. But how do we understand that promise? I can tell you what Satan wants you to think about this promise. Because in Luke 4, Satan cites this psalm when he’s tempting Jesus in the wilderness. Satan tries to get a Christian to believe that “If I’m a Christian, God won’t let any really, really bad things happen to me.” That’s not at all what Psalm 91 is saying.
