Planning how to achieve your bee keeping targets for each year starts well before spring, many would say that a strong start to beekeeping in spring is assured by the correct action during the previous August and September. The creation of nucleus colonies that over winter well allows a beekeeper to start the year even before new mated queens come available.Planning for Spring 2024 is my thought process through the route to full apiaries with large colonies in readiness for spring foraging.
