Episode Description from the Publisher

Beautiful friend, maybe you’ve been hurt, disappointed, abandoned, rejected, or let down so many times that somewhere along the way you decided, “I’ll just handle everything myself.” You stopped depending on people. You learned to protect yourself. You learned to expect disappointment so it wouldn’t hurt as much when it came. But here’s the question we’re digging into today: Have you accidentally brought that same mindset into your relationship with God? In this episode of Surrender to Heal, we’re talking about what happens when hurt and disappointment make it difficult to fully trust God — even when we want to. We’re diving into: * How betrayal, rejection, and disappointment can create a need for control * Why your nervous system may crave certainty before it feels safe enough to surrender * The difference between trusting God and trusting God to give you the outcome you want * Why faith doesn’t require knowing how the story ends * How to stop carrying the pressure of figuring everything out * What it looks like to trust God’s character when you don’t understand His plan 📖 Scriptures: Proverbs 3:5–6, Psalm 56:3–4, Isaiah 26:3–4 & Psalm 9:10 One of the biggest things I want you to take away from this episode is this: Faith isn’t certainty about the outcome. Faith is certainty about who God is 🫶🏻 You don’t have to know what He’s going to do next. You don’t have to understand the timing. You don’t have to have all the answers. You can simply pray: “God, I don’t know what You’re doing here, and I don’t know how this ends. But I know who You are. Help me trust Your character when I cannot understand Your plan.” Maybe God isn’t asking you to figure it all out. Maybe He’s asking you to finally put it down. 🤍 ✨ Ready to go deeper?
