Xbox vs. PlayStation Is Missing the Bigger Story

Xbox and PlayStation have both experienced major layoffs, studio closures and restructuring, but the way those stories are covered often feels very different.When Xbox cuts jobs, it is frequently presented as evidence that the entire brand is collapsing. When PlayStation closes studios, cuts staff or restructures Bungie, the coverage often moves on much faster or treats each story as an isolated problem.
