Some of the oldest medicine on earth fits in the palm of your hand. If you’re holding a creative project that is still taking shape, stones can be a surprisingly steady companion. In this episode, I revisit a recording from many years ago that still guides my creative practice, sharing three stones I turn to when I need to reconnect to my creativity. I also share a story about what happened when I let go of a stone I had coveted for years, and how that surrender opened an unexpected path forward. What if the season you’re in isn’t asking you to finish anything, only to stay present while it ripens? November arrives as a bridge between what we saw this fall and what is already on its way in December, and there is something to be gained from pausing partway across it.In this month’s intuitive reading, we explore what it means to move from seeing into implementing: reorganizing our lives around what we now know to be true, taking honest stock of the pace we’ve been keeping, and finding a rhythm we can actually sustain. We also look at why so many of us are growing in non-ideal conditions, and how little collaborations can carry what we can’t carry alone. If you’ve been wondering how to honor your pace as the year winds down, I hope this reading offers some ease.IN THE EPISODE – Opening my books for one-on-one readings – The deck I’m working with this month – When we try to harvest something that is still ripening – November as a bridge month between October and December – Moving from seeing into implementing – Taking stock and finding a sustainable pace – Speaking the truth about your time and energy – Why it’s not a personal failing: growing fruit in non-ideal conditions – The power of little collaborations – A word for this month: collective reliefGet the one-on-one reading announcement in your inboxTarot for the Wild SoulJacqueline Maloney ArtRemember Why You Are Here SubstackGet the episode transcript here.Ready to remember why you are here? What if one of the oldest ways to reach your ancestors is already sitting in your kitchen?I meant to record something new this week. Instead, a virus swept through my household, and the days of sage tea, elderberry syrup, and rest became an unplanned practice of ancestral herbalism. So I’m bringing back a teaching on one of my favorite topics: the particular magic of working with the plants your ancestors knew, especially now, as the veil thins and those who came before us draw near. I share three accessible ways to begin, from a simple research project to an offering at your own table.Chances are you’ve been practicing ancestral plant medicine all along. This is an invitation to do it on purpose.IN THE EPISODE – Pulling the wisdom of your ancestors through plant medicine – A week laid low by a virus, and an unplanned lesson in ancestral herbalism – The particular magic of working with the plants your ancestors knew – Pumpkins, apples, and hay: the ancestral plant practices hiding in autumn decorations – Autumn as a season for connecting with those who’ve passed – Who we mean by ancestral herbalism: the ancestors who were plant medicine people – Visiting the lands of my family, and meeting the hawthorns in Ireland – Three ways to begin: research, an offering, and flower essences – Herbs for the Otherworld, and a guided journey into autumn’s medicine – Herbalism for sensitive nervous systems, and a free summit classHerbs for the OtherworldEcoversity’s Free Herbal Medicine Making SummitRemember Why You Are Here SubstackGet the episode transcript here.Ready to remember why you are here? There's a moment right after you release the arrow when all you can do is trust its flight. That's exactly where this October finds many of us—mid-motion, waiting, and being asked to stay centered while something we've already set into motion makes its way home.Tune into this month's intuitive reading to explore what it means to become your own seer this season: not just catching glimpses of what's beyond the veil, but getting honest about the patterns already playing out in your own life, so you can actually shift them. We talk about what's yours to carry and what isn't, why the doubts that creep up around something already launched don't mean anything's wrong, and how the trust you built this September is about to open a whole new layer of your intuitive gifts. If you've been waiting to trust your own instincts again, this is your invitation. Because the deepest gift of becoming your own seer is realizing you could trust yourself all along.IN THE EPISODE – This month's invitation: becoming your own seer, and finding your center – Our card for the month, and the question it's asking of us – The arrow already mid-flight, and why it's time to get out of your own way – What's actually yours to carry, and what isn't – Letting what you learned about yourself this fall be true – Becoming your own seer this month – The soul retrievals from this fall, and the abilities they're opening up – Why being honest with yourself is what grows your seership – Repairing your trust in your own instincts – Finding your center as your arrow comes in for a landingRemember Why You Are Here SubstackLeave me a voice message!Get the episode transcript here.Ready to remember why you are here? There is a root that stretches back in time. Follow it far enough and you'll reach ancestors for whom you have no names—yet who hold the memories that can heal our world. As autumn thins the veil and asks us to remember what came before, I'm revisiting one of my favorite transmissions: a conversation about the deep ancestors, those who lived long before written history, and who are far more eager to speak with us than we might think.I recorded this one back when my daughter was still just a little seed in my belly, and I'm returning to it now from inside the painted caves of the Dordogne in Southern France, still working on the very book these ancestors first called me to write seven years ago. In this episode, I share the story of the shamanic journey that changed everything for me, how a DNA test later confirmed what I'd felt in that vision, and how you can begin your own conversation with the deep ones of your lineage this season.IN THE EPISODE – Meeting the deep ancestors from inside the caves of Southern France – Why fall is the season the veil grows thin – What makes an ancestor a "deep" ancestor – The ancient wisdom that's resurfacing now – The shamanic journey that led her to the caves of Southern France – A DNA test that confirmed the vision – How to start talking to your own deep ancestors – An invitation for this seasonRemember Why You Are Here SubstackHerbs for the OtherworldLeave me a voice message!Get the episode transcript here.Ready to remember why you are here? I used to think protection meant sharp teeth and raised shields—the kind of fierce, obvious defense you only reach for when things get extreme. What I didn't understand is that protection is not always about standing your ground. Sometimes it's about creating enough space around yourself that you don't need a shield at all. This month's intuitive reading was about soul protection after soul retrieval—tending to the parts of ourselves that have recently come home, still tender, still finding their footing. So in this episode, I get specific: what protection spells actually look like for an empath, day to day, and how to create the kind of boundaries you need to flourish. Because we protect what is sacred. What is still growing. What is carrying our hopes, our dreams, our wholeness. And you deserve that kind of protection too.IN THE EPISODE – Why protection is this month's medicine – What protection actually means for an empath – Creating space to feel – Boundaries as what makes relationship possible – Protection spells: small nos, and choosing not to get activated – Boundaries around your time, attention, and transitions – Turning down the noise: taking away inputs – Embracing "negative" emotions as protection – Carrying a stone, calling in a bigger guide, and other everyday protection tools – Being full of yourself: passion as protectionRemember Why You Are Here SubstackSoul Retrieval MeditationLeave me a voice message!Get the episode transcript here.Ready to remember why you are here?
