Kirkland Lake Discoveries CEO: Mirado hits high-grade feeder, "no edges" yet

Kirkland Lake Discoveries Corp (TSX-V:KLDC, OTCQB:KLKLF) CEO Stefan Sklepowicz tells Proactive's Stephen Gunnion the company has hit 25.85 grams per tonne gold over three metres in a 150-metre step-out at its Mirado project, calling it a high-grade feeder beneath the historical deposit and a sign of a strong, long-lived orogenic system. Sklepowicz highlighted the Mirado West zone as a standout opportunity, with a geophysical anomaly stretching 6.5 kilometres north and only two holes drilled into it so far. He said there are no edges on the system yet, raising the possibility it could become a large deposit in its own right. The company holds 42,000 hectares in the Kirkland Lake Camp in Ontario, a district with 120 years of mining history. Sklepowicz described the area as near-turnkey for mine development given existing infrastructure and nearby major mining companies. KL South is identified as the most advanced project, with a historical resource of 442,000 ounces that management believes was understated when compiled at the end of the 2013 bull market. With 23 holes currently pending, Sklepowicz said investors should expect continuous news flow over the next three to four months, covering Mirado West step-outs, the northern zone, and regional boundary tests, with an updated mineral resource estimate flagged for 2027.
