Are Minor Prophets Becoming Cessationists?
Are the Minor Prophets becoming cessationists? Have we been fake charismatics the whole time? After the exposures of major charismatic leaders like Mike Bickle, Shawn Bolz, IHOPKC, and the increased skepticism towards movements like Bethel Church, many are suggesting that the real problem is not spiritual abuse, a lack of accountability, or other cultural issues. Many are suggesting that it is charismatic theology itself that is the problem. But does the Bible give us permission to become cessationists? In this episode we will give the biblical, historical, and experiential reasons we cannot become cessationists.Ryan Denton's post:https://tinyurl.com/ryanspostonxJoin our Patreon to Support Our Work:https://www.patreon.com/minorprophetspodcastCreation Coffee:https://www.creationcoffee.com/🔥PROMO CODE: MP for 10% Off🔥Register for RemCon 2026 Oct 1-3:https://www.theremnantradio.com/remnant-fall-conference-2026

Why John Cooper is Right About NAR Abuse
Is NAR (New Apostolic Reformation) theology espoused by Bill Johnson (Bethel Church), or Danny Silk (Culture of Honor) and other charismatic churches and organizations inherently abusive, or has the charismatic movement been plagued by just a few bad apples?John Cooper (from the band, Skillet) Went on Alisa Childers' podcast and laid out the case that churches led by divinely inspired "apostles" is not only unbiblical, but incredibly dangerous. In this episode we walk through why John Cooper is right—how unaccountable apostolic authority, secret doctrine, and “touch not the Lord’s anointed” culture harm families and fracture churches. We also look at how those same NAR patterns show up around Bethel Church and the wider worship/prophetic world, and how to keep the Holy Spirit without the hierarchy. If you watched the Alisa Childers / Skillet interview and want a clear, biblical charismatic take, this is for you.Original Interview with John Cooper on Alisa Childers' podcast: • Skillet’s John and Korey Cooper Break Thei... GeorDavie Caught Promoting Fake Ethiopian Bibles
GeorDavie Caught Promoting Scam Ethiopian Bibles: AI-Generated Fake Books Exposed as Kathryn Krick’s Spiritual Father Pushes “Hidden Knowledge”. GeorDavie (Kathryn Krick’s Tanzanian spiritual father) is caught promoting the massive Ethiopian Bible scam flooding Amazon and social media: cheap AI-generated volumes that claim lost books, suppressed Enoch texts, and secret revelations the King James and Western churches supposedly removed.Joined by Matt Whitman from the Ten Minute Bible Hour, the video documents how these are not authentic Ge’ez translations or official Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo editions but AI slop—incomplete chapters that cut off mid-sentence, fabricated authors, error-filled text, and sloppy AI images. Matt Whitman explains how he first encountered the scam while checking sales of his own books, revealing rapid print-on-demand dates, nonexistent scholarly credentials, and content that fails basic legitimacy checks. GeorDavie uses these scam Ethiopian Bibles in Swahili teachings to assert prophets “decree” rather than pray and that the standard 66-book canon is incomplete, while Kathryn Krick amplifies the same deliverance-and-anointing message globally. Watch the breakdown of why no reliable single-volume English Ethiopian Bible exists from the original manuscripts, how AI is being weaponized to sell Gnostic-style secret knowledge, and why discernment matters before buying another “hidden books” edition. Tools for Healing After Charismatic Betrayal
Institutional betrayal trauma is real. When foundational figures in the charismatic movement—from historical leaders like John Alexander Dowie and John G. Lake to modern names like Shawn Bolz and Mike Bickle—are exposed, it can leave many wondering: How do I even pray anymore?Bethel music and prophetic culture shaped years of worship and intimacy with Jesus for countless people. Discovering deception or cover-ups can upend your prayer life, shake your trust, and trigger religious trauma or institutional betrayal. You’re not crazy for feeling destabilized. In this episode of the Minor Prophets Podcast, JonMark Baker shares practical tools that have helped him (and others) reconstruct a healthy charismatic faith without throwing out the genuine work of the Holy Spirit:👉🏻 Returning to expository preaching that prioritizes Scripture over “shower thoughts” or untested prophetic words👉🏻Restoring the proper place of music and emotion in prayer—so feelings serve truth instead of replacing it👉🏻Studying the Bible with solid commentaries to rebuild confidence in how you read Scripture👉🏻 Accurately naming the trauma (religious trauma syndrome / institutional betrayal) so healing can beginThis is not about abandoning the gifts of the Spirit. It’s about putting the Word of God first, ordering our affections rightly, and finding solid ground again after the wood, hay, and stubble has been revealed. If recent exposures have left your prayer life in pieces, this conversation is for you.Support the podcast and get exclusive content:https://www.patreon.com/minorprophetspodcastHelpful resources mentioned:• Logos article on best single-volume commentaries: https://www.logos.com/grow/nook-best-single-volume-commentaries/• Bully Pulpit (on spiritual abuse): https://www.amazon.com/Bully-Pulpit-Confronting-Problem-Spiritual-ebook/dp/B09XT1TCFM#Charismatic #ReligiousTrauma #InstitutionalBetrayal #SpiritualAbuse #Bethel #MikeBickle #ShawnBolz #PrayerLife #FaithAfterBetrayal #MinorProphetsPodcast #Continuationist #HealthyCharismatic
