BONUS: ESPN Ranking Robs Big 12, BYU AGAIN, AP Poll is SEC Slop, Deion Sanders OUT at Colorado?

No. 10 BYU set the tone for another brutal weekend in the Big 12, marching into Fort Worth and grinding out a vintage, blood-and-guts 17-10 victory over TCU. Playing without their star workhorse LJ Martin, Kalani Sitake’s squad didn't blink; they simply leaned harder into the trenches. Bear Bachmeier anchored a masterclass in situational toughness, powering through contact and punching home two crucial rushing scores while the defense completely locked down Amon G. Carter Stadium to survive a hostile road environment. That unrelenting physical identity rippled across the entire conference in a slate defined by high-stakes survival. In Ames, Iowa State and West Virginia engaged in an absolute heavyweight thriller. The Cyclones outlasted the Mountaineers 45-42 behind a legendary, tackle-shredding performance from Aiden Flora, who racked up over 200 yards on the ground to keep his team firmly in the championship hunt.Meanwhile, No. 12 Texas Tech continued their dominant march through the fall, rolling into Boulder to face Colorado. The Red Raiders put on a defensive clinic, intercepting four passes and turning Folsom Field into a showcase of roster maturity en route to a decisive 29-7 statement win that advanced them to 5-0. Down in Houston, the Cougars added another layer of gritty trench dominance, fending off UCF 27-17 with a suffocating defensive stand. This wasn’t a weekend of empty style points or soft, non-conference padding. It was an unfiltered showcase of the Big 12 gauntlet—where every Saturday demands absolute physical resilience, and only the toughest rosters survive the bloodbath.Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!KALSHIFor a limited time, Download Kalshi and use code Locked On to get $25 when you trade $25. Kalshi.
