Why do I need to go beyond attending church once a week? Why do I need to pursue Godly friendships? Why do I need to be corrected and challenged by other Christians? Ultimately we're asking why do we need community/discipleship. ParkHillsAssembly.com
We are teaching on the Holy Spirit in the coming weeks. Today we're talking about a group of believers who were living for God but were unaware of what they were missing out on. Are you living in God's fullness? Do you have everything that God wants for your life? Could you be more effective in your service to God?
We're preparing to launch a series of sermons about testimony. We're going to have people from our church share their story. We're challenging every believer to share their before-and-after transformation. Who we were before Jesus and who we are now after experiencing Jesus. We've been changed but it's not through a religion, and it's not because we tried harder to do good things. We've been changed because we have experienced Jesus personally and surrendered our lives to him.
What if the only thing standing between you and God’s promise… is the way you see yourself?Israel walked through miracles—plagues, a parted sea, provision in the wilderness—yet still missed what God had for them. Not because God failed… but because their mindset did. They had freedom in their hands but slavery in their thinking. This message dives into the hard truth:👉 You can be delivered but still live like a victim👉 You can stand at the promise and still choose fear👉 You can talk yourself out of what God already gave youBut there’s another option…A Joshua & Caleb kind of faith that says:“We are well able. God is with us. Let’s go.”If you’ve been stuck, discouraged, or feeling like you’re going in circles—this is your wake-up call.Stop seeing yourself as a victim. Start living like a warrior.
Hosting his presence. Many of us have become casual about experiencing the presence of God. We often settle for routine church experiences and assume we are getting all that we need from God but what if there’s more?If we want to experience all God has for us, we must move beyond being casual spectators and become intentional in preparing for His presence. In this message, we will look at the life of Abram and how he welcomed and hosted God's presence. Together, we’ll discover how to apply those same principles to our daily lives so we can experience deeper intimacy, transformation, and everything God desires to do in and through us.Before hearing this message, consider these questions:• Do I truly hunger for more of God’s presence?• Is my life lived in such a way that God is welcomed and accommodated?• Am I actively preparing my heart for God to move, or simply observing from a distance?
When someone responds to God's call for their life, there is a radical change that takes place in their heart and life. God may call each of us to do different things, but there are common traits that are seen in the lives of people who refuse to put God on hold.
Call Waiting...Millions of people across America attend church each week but are completely disengaged from the purpose that God has for them. How do you hear God's calling for your life? How do you prioritize his purpose? How do you stay passionate and focused on his purpose through the seasons of life? God has a purpose for each person, using our personality, our giftings to impact others. If God is calling you...do you really want to keep him waiting?Do I stay consistent when things get hard, or do I disengage?• Am I living with urgency, or just coasting spiritually?• Do I care about the lost, or have I grown numb?• What does “finishing well” look like in my life?• When was the last time I felt a deep burden for what burdens God?
The wind and waves obey... Why don't I? A lot of believers have went through a time where they doubted their salvation, they doubted whether they could continue to live for Jesus. Most of the time they realize that they had desires in their heart that weren't biblical, or they were isolated and they struggled to maintain their walk with God. What if God doesn't want you to try harder and he doesn't want you to quit. It's a contradiction in our lives especially as we begin a new relationship with God that we love God and appreciate his presence but also have desires that are against scripture. That is a huge contradiction that can cause confusion. We are going to look at scripture to understand what God wants to do and how he actually wants to do it. If the wind and waves obey Jesus, why don't we?
