Fear of being seen is a real thing and if we don't stop to break the pattern it will keep consuming us and we start dimming our light. This doesn't only limit your potential, it blocks you from success and happiness. It's interesting to think how many people hold themselves back because of fear of succeeding. It has become a thing. In this episode, I really wanted to unravel the stresses that comes with believing every thought and letting it consume us.Enjoy! ❤️
Last week I explored one of the principles of yoga which is Santosha, it's the second Niyama in Patanjali's Eight Limbs of Yoga. Santosha is the Sanskrit word for 'contentment' which reminds us to let go, soak in the present moment and what is right in front of us before getting busy to go to the next thing. This practice can be challenging because we all have our own lives, responsibilities, work, paying bills, looking after your kids and it's easy to let our life slip by before our eyes. I wanted to explore this theme because these moments of slowing down allows us to reset and recharge, not only for yourself but so you can be present and aware in your life. Reflect where in your life you're running after the next goal before being grateful for where you are. Don't let the challenges of life sweep you and wipe away all the effort it took to get you here. If you didn't give up then it's likely that you're worth fighting for, that your life deserves another chance and many more, that there's something so beautiful ahead waiting for you. What if it's not very far? It's now. It's here. It's built in the pauses, reflections and gratitude of your breath, of waking up and it's another day. You didn't have to earn another day here, you just did by continuing your way forward.
In this episode, I had the pleasure to sit down with relationship expert Mike Elliott and talk relationships, wounds, past, masculine and feminine. Mike emphasizes the importance of embracing pain as a teacher. He states, "Pain is the greatest teacher that invites us to turn towards ourselves and to get to know what drives us." This perspective has transformed his approach, allowing him to guide high-achieving men to confront their vulnerabilities and build deeper connections.Connect with Mike:Instagram: @mikeelliott.relating Apply for 1-1: www.itsmikeelliott.comPodcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/7EqHPtL9DovzPtazag8QO1?si=d7499c4871694362I hope you enjoyed this conversation as much as I learned alot from Mike, his teachings and how big of a heart he has for humanity and to help impact men's, couples life in a positive way. That's what he's been devoted to and I think this is something we should all practice.
Ask what your values areAsk why it's important to youInquire within instead of searching outsideLook for the deeper meaning in what you doDon't define your future based on your past choicesOnce you have the clarity, you're more likely to give your focus to what fuels youBlessings,Sarah
We think being stuck means we are failing but often it's not that you're failing or not moving ahead, life sometimes asks us to redirect our path for a better one. You do need a direction in life but you don't need to know every detail of the path, sometimes half of the marathon is done by choosing to run a marathon not by sitting and overthinking why you should run one. The marathon is a metaphor for when you're chasing your dreams, you're going to suck at it first, you will have many falls before you learn the way but you're already there if you showed up. Showing up is a part of the goal even when you start thinking that you don't know what you're doing. I hope this episode helps.💌If you want to write to me:sarahalqhwaizi@gmail.comSocials:IG: guidewithsarahTikTok: guidewithsarahMore of my work: https://linktr.ee/sarahalqhwaizi
Packing our schedule with so many things to do separates us from what we need to do. Those quiet moments are necessary for self-reflection, re-evaluation and clarity. When we give our attention to places, spaces, people, we need to be mindful of what we're choosing.
We all know that everything we think of, we manifest, not only in our words but also our energy and beliefs we have.Everything we desire comes from an inner pull.Find out what that is by listening to your intuition.
In this episode, I talk about the most powerful life force to heal, is love. When we let our past experiences dictate how we act now, we block away everything that is meant for us. I hope this brings clarity, healing and comfort to your heart.Sarah IG: https://www.instagram.com/sarah_alqhwaizi/Apply for 1-1 Yoga Session: https://calendly.com/yogawsarah/yogawithsarahBlog: https://substack.com/@sarahalqhwaizi
