The Gateway Process: The CIA Files on Consciousness Beyond the Body

In June 1983, U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Wayne M. McDonnell produced an intelligence assessment on the Gateway Experience, a Monroe Institute training system built around Hemi-Sync audio, relaxation, visualization, and staged altered states such as Focus 10, described as mind awake, body asleep.
