On this episode of Flames Now with Pat Steinberg, we take an early look at the 2027 NHL Draft with Daily Faceoff prospects expert Steven Ellis (@SEllisHockey). Why has the hockey world suddenly soured on the class? Steven explains and makes the case for Calgary product Landon Dupont as the clear favourite to go first overall. He also breaks down a deep group of centers and other prospects to watch as the season unfolds. Then, we hear from the Flames’ leadership group following an 0-3 start. Captain Mikael Backlund, along with Zach Whitecloud and Ryan Strome, address the tough opening, the team’s response, and the decision to place a couple of teammates on waivers.
