Stacys in a good mood since her stomach bug passed and pizza from Leo’s in San Antonio may have been the cure! Shopping helped too, which led her to pose an important question to Eric. What is the guy’s version of candles and throw pillows and/or shoes and handbags? Men not agreeing on “a thing” may be why we don’t have world peace. Because Eric’s bum was still numb from kayaking, he and “the girlfriend” went biking instead which while it was hard getting started, he enjoyed his cushioned seat. Despite their varied schedules, Eric and bandmates from Battersea are preparing for another gig at The Valley in Tacoma on September 19th, 2026. Naturally, Stacy had excellent ideas to help prep, which he appreciated greatly. He would appreciate her help when his mother and aunt visit, but Stacy is enjoying watching him squirm. For their CBS, they independently watched a Dolly Parton movie (9 to 5 for Eric and Steel Magnolias for Stacy) to pay respect to a legend! And then each went rogue, Eric with the original Halloween and Stacy with High Fidelity. Eric was surprised at how much he enjoyed Halloween after building it up as a kid. Stacy enjoyed High Fidelity for the soundtrack, cast chock full of future stars and sheer angst. Eric pointed out that when he and his friends are music dorks that intellectualize music there isn’t nearly the same response…no offense, they’re not John Cusack in 2000. As for snow versus leaves, one’s fun to play with while the other is fun to play in…neither is fun to clean!
