Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk), his mother, senses evil in his presence and sternly reminds him that he is not like his late father, Stefano DiMera. Despite her warnings, EJ is entangled in numerous shady dealings, with his most recent one being his partnership with Gwen Rizczech (Emily O'Brien) in a hospital takeover scheme.  DOOL spoilers suggest that EJ's unethical actions have consequences, as the state hospital board censures him while Gwen becomes the new hospital owner. To add to EJ's troubles, his sister Lexie Carver's (Nikki Crawford) resurrection turns tragic when the experimental serum proves ineffective. With Lexie's impending death, EJ might face criminal charges.  Spoilers for Days of our Lives hint that as the law closes in on EJ, FBI agent Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and ISA agent partner Kat begin their investigation into the hospital crimes and Gwen's disappearance. Meanwhile, EJ gets involved in another kidnapping plot involving his sister Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), further complicating his situation. More DOOL spoilers suggest that EJ's reckless actions have put him in hot water, and it remains to be seen if he can avoid incarceration.
