Some people leave a legacy. Some people become the legacy. This podcast is about one of those people .Terry Fox. Terry is in my opinion the greatest athlete ever to live and quite possibly the greatest Canadian of all time. 46 years ago, a young Canadian with one leg due to cancer set out to run across Canada. A marathon a day until he had gone across Canada to raise money for cancer research. I talk with Renata from Terry Fox Run NZ and Michelle from Cancer Research Trust NZ about the incredible cancer research happening here in Aotearoa, the breakthroughs being made, and why Terry’s dream still matters. Because perhaps that’s the greatest thing about Terry Fox. He didn’t finish his run. But the world decided to finish it for him. 46 years later, we’re still running. Still raising. Still researching. Still hoping. Still believing that one person can make a difference…like Terry Fox did ! If you’re in Auckland or Christchurch, you can still be part of this Sunday’s Terry Fox Run. Check out Terry Fox Run NZ for details .The finish line is still out there. Let’s help get Terry there and finish it !
