On today's episode Bryan and Katie Flannery of Flannery Beef. Yes, this is a wine podcast. But Morgan and I have been huge fans of their steaks for two decades introduced to us by the famed wine critic Robert Parker. And what goes better with a great glass of wine than a great dry age steak? We discuss all things beef including the aging process, mold, cuts and the bureaucratic difficulties small producers share with the wine business. Make sure to have a steak ready for the grill after you listen to this episode. To order some of the greatest beef, pork and lamb products in the world go to flannerybeef.com. You mind will be blown!

On today's podcast, we interview Beth Novak, President & CEO, and Aron Weinkauf, Winemaker & Vineyard Manager, of Spottswoode Estate. We deeply respect Spottswoode for its farming practices and the wines it produces; they are among our favorites in the valley. Spottswood is a family-owned winery that cares not just about the vines they farm or the wines they produce, but also the people involved in making them. The estate has a long history, and it is one of the only vineyards in California certified regenerative organic, which we obviously love. We dive into the property's history, Beth and Aron's journey, their industry-leading progressive farming and winemaking practices, and what Napa needs going forward.
For the February 10 Spring Release, Jake, Morgan, and Chris turn their focus to the reds in the release, with plenty of deep dives into farming along the way. 00:30 - 2024 Evangelho Vineyard Areio e Vento e Amor 12:25 - 2024 Papera Ranch Heritage Wine 18:20 - 2024 Teldeschi Ranch Heritage Wine 25:00 - 2024 Sky Vineyard Zinfandel 32:40 - 2024 Ode To Joel Zinfandel aka A Buffalo in Montana 44:25 - 2024 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon 54:30 - 2024 Montecillo Vineyard Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon
