Kimber’s practice moves between textural painting, sculptural relief and installation, exploring the relationship between architecture, memory and surface.We discuss how childhood experiences wandering through his father’s Perth nightclubs shaped his fascination with interiors, texture and built environments, and how these memories continue to inform his paintings today.
