Church of the Universe
A funky dance vibe resounds through echoing, expansive synths and a tripped out jam. On this album,“Church of the Universe” is the exception on to my track-a-day stint. It came a few months later, after I had traveled much, and then come home and bought my first computer based recording system. It kinda fits in, despite it’s vastly different recording method. I guess this song somehow represents the landing after the leap, the shore that welcomed me home after a wild, tumultuous journey.

About ZzA!
2005 Ariel Powell. At a very pivotal and inspired point in my life, I created each of these songs in one day. I had been playing in a local party/jam band, and I was really feeling the jazzy, dancey, rasta-funky vibe of what we’d been playing. So I took advantage of my week off, and put as much of that into the record as I could. Avant-garde and Improv present here, as well as fusion jazz, psychedelic, jam, funk, rock, and blues.On this album,the exception on to this track-a-day stint is “Church of the Universe”.
