One of the greatest gifts in life is having people who are genuinely happy when something good happens to you. Not because they gain anything from it. Not because they're being polite. But because your success brings them joy. I've been thinking about that lately. Every time I share something I'm excited about, there are people who immediately cheer me on. They celebrate the win, ask questions, and encourage me to keep going. Those people are priceless. They remind us that success isn't a competition. There's enough room for all of us to thrive. If you've ever hesitated to share good news because you were afraid someone would judge you, diminish it, or make it about themselves, I hope you also know what it's feels like to have someone say, "That's amazing! I'm so happy for you." Be that person for someone else. Celebrate the promotion. Applaud the new business. Cheer for the small victory that might seem insignificant to everyone else but means everything to them. Your encouragement could be exactly what gives someone the confidence to take their next step. And if you don't have many people like that in your life yet, don't lose hope. Keep looking. Keep showing up in places where generous, kind-hearted people gather. They're out there. Today's dose of hope: Surround yourself with people who clap when you win. Then be the kind of person who claps just as loudly when someone else does.
