Stephen King's IT (1990)

Episode 164: Stephen King's IT (1990) Stephen King is crazy, and if cocaine can make a man do crazy things...what the hell do you think a coked up Stephen King is going to do? Probably write a book about an interdimensional Eldritch horror whose enemy is a giant space turtle that vomited the universe, then the horror winds up on earth where it eats children until a group of kids try to stop it, then have a child orgy, only to realize 30 years later they have to kill it once and for all. Perfect fodder for a prime time miniseries on ABC, yea?
