Hong Kong's first Five-Year Plan is here. But it has also prompted a very different narrative in some Western media coverage. Is it really a move toward a planned economy or "mainlandization"? Or does their portrayal miss what the plan is actually about? From governance and economic planning to innovation, housing and alignment with the National 15th Five-Year Plan, let's look beyond the narrative and examine what this plan really means for Hong Kong.
