Endurance in Exile: The book of Daniel Week 9

Daniel’s vision of the “little horn” in Chapter 8 points to one of the most remarkable fulfilled prophecies in Scripture. Centuries before it happened, God revealed the rise of Antiochus Epiphanes—a ruler who would persecute God’s people, desecrate the Temple, and stop the daily sacrifices. Yet Daniel’s message is not ultimately about Antiochus. It is about a God who knows history before it happens and remains sovereign even when evil seems to prosper. The little horn got a chapter, but God gets the ending. As we trace the fulfillment of Daniel’s prophecy through history and all the way to Jesus at Hanukkah, we are reminded that history is not random—it is God’s story, moving toward Christ. And if God can be trusted with centuries of history, He can be trusted with the parts of our story we have not yet seen.
