On this episode of VOC, we are joined by Edie Argueta. He was a survivor of the historic battle of Fallujah in Iraq. His story is profound on so many levels. He has been active in supporting veterans and still does great work in the Veteran community. He was just honored by the Queen City Council for his work with veterans. Edie is a father, husband, and Marine. He shipped out to basic training a month after his high school graduation (on his birthday). He deployed twice in support of OIF. At only 1 year old, he crossed into the US in the arms of his grandmother where he was reunited with his mother. His family is originally from El Salvador. Together they settled in Jamaica, Queens, where he would grow up. He currently resides in Maspeth, Queens. Join us as we follow Edie's story.
