"When you get stabbed in the manner that he was, you're going to be out in seconds."On the evening of 30 August 2025, tens of thousands of people gathered around a seventy foot wooden figure that was slowly being engulfed in flame. It was the culmination of Burning Man, an annual festival held in Nevada's Black Rock Desert that is centered around concepts like radical self reliance and self expression.
