For years, Western policymakers insisted China should embrace globalisation, free markets, and competition. Now that China dominates electric vehicles, solar panels, batteries, robotics, AI, and manufacturing, many of those same voices now call China's success a global threat. In this episode, Carl Zha and Daniel Dumbrill react to a series of articles from The Atlantic, The Economist, Reuters, and prominent China commentators that claim China's manufacturing boom, AI development, industrial policy, and technological rise are dangerous for the world.Topics include:• Why Western media suddenly says "overcapacity" is bad • China's AI strategy vs Silicon Valley's profit model • The EV revolution and energy independence • China's industrial policy and manufacturing dominance • The politics behind "China bad" narratives • Noah Smith's criticism of China's economy • Why patents, innovation, and subsidies are misunderstood • The history behind today's trade wars • China's poverty alleviation and public approval • Why more young people now question Western narratives Does China really create a global crisis—or does the world simply struggle to adjust to a new economic reality?Watch the full discussion and decide for yourself.► Join UK Column Live every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1pm UK time or watch previous live recordings here: https://bit.ly/UKColumn_Live► [UK Column Website] Explore all our written and video content on the official UK Column website: https://www.ukcolumn.org/► [Support UK Column] Please donate to support our independent journalism & investigative journalism: https://support.ukcolumn.org/► [UK Column YouTube] Please subscribe to the UK Column News YouTube channel for more alternative news and independent news: https://bit.ly/ukcolumnofficialFollow #UKColumn on:► X: https://x.com/ukcolumn► Telegram: https://t.me/ukcolumn► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/UKColumnExtracts► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/uk_column_news
David Rasnick, a biochemist of many decades, argues that cancer is caused by aneuploidy — an abnormal number or balance of chromosomes — not by individual gene mutations as mainstream medicine claims. When carcinogens disrupt how chromosomes are shared during cell division, the chromosomal imbalance which results is inherently unstable. This causes more errors each time the cell divides, which results in a snowball effect Rasnick calls "autocatalyed progression."Over time, this chaotic reshuffle produces a cell that grows out of control and becomes a tumour.Rasnick points out that gene mutation theory fails because many carcinogens do not damage DNA, no cancer-specific mutations have been consistently found, and virtually all solid tumours are aneuploid — something the mutationtheory can't explain. In short, cancer is a disease of chromosomes, not genes. Mainstream focus on gene mutation has looked in the wrong place for decades.https://www.davidrasnick.com► Join UK Column Live every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1pm UK time or watch previous live recordings here: https://bit.ly/UKColumn_Live► [UK Column Website] Explore all our written and video content on the official UK Column website: https://www.ukcolumn.org/► [Support UK Column] Please donate to support our independent journalism & investigative journalism: https://support.ukcolumn.org/► [UK Column YouTube] Please subscribe to the UK Column News YouTube channel for more alternative news and independent news: https://bit.ly/ukcolumnofficialFollow #UKColumn on:► X: https://x.com/ukcolumn► Telegram: https://t.me/ukcolumn► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/UKColumnExtracts► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/uk_column_news

This conversation digs into the history and meaning of the 16 June uprising in South Africa, looking at what led to the protest against Afrikaans being forced as the language of teaching in schools.Simon Roche walks through the pivotal moments in South Africa's history, focusing on the downfall of apartheid and what the 16 June events really meant. He reflects on the poor judgement of the apartheid regime — forcing Afrikaans on black schools was an arrogant move that showed how out of touch they were. The uprising that followed on 16 June 1976 became a turning point, and the date is now commemorated as Youth Day, honouring the young people who stood up.Simon also gets into the controversial legacy of Hendrik Verwoerd, often called the architect of apartheid. There are lingering conspiracy theories about his assassination, with questions about whether there was more to the story than the official narrative. Either way, as the regime's brutality became impossible to ignore, apartheid supporters lost any credible moral standing. The discussion touches on the role of indigenous peoples and the influence of foreign agitators in shaping the narrative of the uprising.https://suidlanders.org► Join UK Column Live every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1pm UK time or watch previous live recordings here: https://bit.ly/UKColumn_Live► [UK Column Website] Explore all our written and video content on the official UK Column website: https://www.ukcolumn.org/► [Support UK Column] Please donate to support our independent journalism & investigative journalism: https://support.ukcolumn.org/► [UK Column YouTube] Please subscribe to the UK Column News YouTube channel for more alternative news and independent news: https://bit.ly/ukcolumnofficialFollow #UKColumn on:► X: https://x.com/ukcolumn► Telegram: https://t.me/ukcolumn► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/UKColumnExtracts► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/uk_column_news
This presentation by Albanian Dr Olsi Jazexhi was given at the late Ian R. Crane’s Alternative View 8 event in May 2018.The Albanian island of Sazan is hitting the headlines, and Albanian people are not happy. In light of these recent events, UK Column has decided to republish this presentation by Albanian academic Dr Olsi Jazexhi, which he gave at AV8 in 2018.Dr Jazexhi makes a solid case that migrants leaving his Balkan homeland are doing so solely because of Western globalists. He particularly focuses on Britain's Tony Blair and London School of Economics-trained George Soros. The following is from the description provided with UK Column’s 9 November 2022 airing of this presentation: In the current outrage over boat people — very many of them Albanian — arriving on the south coast of England in dinghies with much official connivance, UK Column decided that it would be timely to remind the public of a May 2018 presentation given to a British audience at the late Ian R Crane's Alternative View conference by an Albanian academic, Dr Olsi Jazexhi, who works at universities in both Albania and Canada. Dr Jazexhi makes a solid case that the culpability for the waves of desperate migrants leaving his Balkan homeland rests squarely with Western globalists, particularly Britain's own Tony Blair and the London School of Economics-trained George Soros — firm friends of the Edi Rama régime in Tirana—for rendering large parts of the country practically uninhabitable through economic despoiling and the carving-out of abysmally badly operated fracking concessions. Two years after this presentation, Rama's administration gave the country one of the world's most inhumane Covid lockdowns, which — as Dr Jazexhi reported for 21st Century Wire — the Albanian population defeated by unyielding resistance. This is a vital watch for anyone wishing to understand why Albania is in the headlines right now.► Join UK Column Live every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1pm UK time or watch previous live recordings here: https://bit.ly/UKColumn_Live► [UK Column Website] Explore all our written and video content on the official UK Column website: https://www.ukcolumn.org/► [Support UK Column] Please donate to support our independent journalism & investigative journalism: https://support.ukcolumn.org/► [UK Column YouTube] Please subscribe to the UK Column News YouTube channel for more alternative news and independent news: https://bit.ly/ukcolumnofficialFollow #UKColumn on:► X: https://x.com/ukcolumn► Telegram: https://t.me/ukcolumn► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/UKColumnExtracts► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/uk_column_news
With the first wave of rebellion crushed, we turn our attention to the man who would ultimately be founder of the Han Dynasty: Liu Bang. This episode is a deep dive into his early life, family background, and the social networks that propelled him from a "local bum" to a rebel leader. We trace his lineage back to the aristocratic Fan family of the Jin state (who claimed descent from the sage king Yao), his grandfather's fall from nobility (betraying the city of Feng to Chu), and how this "fallen aristocracy" still retained local prestige. We then follow Liu Bang's colorful early career: his trip to the Wei capital to meet his idol Lord Xinling, his friendship with Zhang Er, his drinking buddies, his accidental stabbing of a friend who went to jail for him, and his legendary ability to "aura farm" his way into marrying the daughter of a wealthy newcomer. Finally, we cover the catalyst for his rebellion: when, as a police chief escorting prisoners to the First Emperor's mausoleum, half his convicts escape, and he decides to release the rest and become a bandit. With omens, divine snakes, and a good dose of self-made mythology, Liu Bang gathers hundreds of followers, takes his home county of Pei, and becomes an independent rebel leader.► Join UK Column Live every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1pm UK time or watch previous live recordings here: https://bit.ly/UKColumn_Live► [UK Column Website] Explore all our written and video content on the official UK Column website: https://www.ukcolumn.org/► [Support UK Column] Please donate to support our independent journalism & investigative journalism: https://support.ukcolumn.org/► [UK Column YouTube] Please subscribe to the UK Column News YouTube channel for more alternative news and independent news: https://bit.ly/ukcolumnofficialFollow #UKColumn on:► X: https://x.com/ukcolumn► Telegram: https://t.me/ukcolumn► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/UKColumnExtracts► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/uk_column_news
