In this episode, we have the chance to talk with Tim Phillips, the former Director of AARO. Tim was really honest about how he had zero interest in UAPs or UFOs before stepping into the role. He didn’t come in as a believer or a skeptic — just someone doing the job. He opened up about what it was actually like running AARO, the behind-the-scenes process, and how the U.S. political system makes it incredibly difficult to get anything done in a timely way.We talk about his new role as IMIX Senior Strategic Advisor, where he’s now part of a major global initiative, bringing together some of the world’s top scientists, researchers, and intelligence professionals. It was fascinating hearing about this shift toward real international collaboration. (Team Work To Make The Dream Work!) One of the biggest takeaways for us was Tim’s strong belief that UAP research — especially anything involving non-human intelligence — should belong to the public, not locked away by governments. We covered a much-needed look inside the DOD and UAP research in this one. If you want the inside perspective on how AARO actually operated, the frustrations, the realities, and where things might be heading next, this episode is a must-listen for 2026. But if we don't use our philosophy, our way of thinking in the abstract- how do we get any closer to it? To them? If we want to know why they're here, we have to look into the abductees, the selection process- or lack thereof. VISIT: www.contactinthedesert.comThis year’s event has an epic lineup of renowned researchers, speakers, and thought leaders exploring the frontiers of UAP science, ancient aliens, ET contact, AI, space travel, simulation theory, and full disclosure — often called “the Coachella of UFOs” by the LA Times.Whether you’re a long-time attendee or a first-timer, CITD offers unparalleled opportunities for learning, networking, and immersion in the field. YOU NEED TO GO!!! Seriously!
Katie & Jason welcome John and EJ Craig, the visionary duo behind UFO-Track.com, helping the future of UAP research and citizen-led disclosure. John Clark Craig — seasoned UFO Field Investigator, author, scientist, engineer, and inventor — along with his wife EJ Craig, a mathematician and co-founder with a lifelong passion for the stars, are transforming how we detect and document Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena.Tired of solitary, after-the-fact sightings that fade from memory and lack credibility, they’ve built a proactive, real-time Alert & Verification network powered by technology and teamwork. (to make the dream work!) Discover UFO-Track’s groundbreaking system: the UFO-Sense device that detects magnetic and gravitic anomalies associated with close-proximity UAP, instant text alerts sent to members within 50 miles, a fast manual reporting tool at report.UFO-Track.com, and a live public map at sightings.UFO-Track.com. Learn how this “network effect” turns single-witness stories into multi-camera, triangulated, data-rich events with photos, videos, sensor readings, and trajectory tracking — all captured while the phenomenon is still unfolding. John and EJ share their personal experiences with anomalous activity, the science and engineering behind their tools (including the UFO-CQ CE5 unit), the impressive early results from devices already in the field, and their mission to move UFOlogy from passive archiving to active, real-time data capture for serious investigation. As John says, “Delay is the enemy of disclosure.” This is the new era of networked witnesses and investigators working together to prove the UFOs are real and flying in our skies right now. Membership is just $5/month at UFO-Track.com — join the network today.#ufo #uap #disclosure #ufology
Christopher King—filmmaker, researcher, co-founder of The Experiencer Group, and a long-time advocate for those impacted by anomalous phenomena.Jay shares his insights into the alien (NHI) abduction issue as it moves onto a broader global and political stage, exploring how governments, institutions, and society at large might (or might not) address this profound reality. The conversation delves into the striking commonalities across family lines and generational lineages in abduction experiences—patterns that often span multiple generations and raise questions about purpose, selection, and long-term implications for future generations. Drawing from years of hands-on work, Jay discusses the vital role of support groups in helping experiencers process trauma, integrate their encounters, and find community amid isolation and skepticism. He opens up about the ongoing nature of these experiences for many, the emotional and psychological tools needed to cope, and the human side of living with the extraordinary. This is a compassionate, grounded look at one of the most challenging aspects of the UFO/UAP phenomenon, blending personal testimony, research observations, and forward-looking perspectives.Jay Christopher King will be attending Contact in the Desert 2026 as a speaker and host—don’t miss this opportunity to learn more from one of the leading voices supporting experiencers today.
Jason welcomes U.S. Air Force veteran and congressional witness Jeff Nuccetelli for a conversation about his firsthand experiences at Vandenberg Air Force Base (now Vandenberg Space Force Base)Jeff, a former military police officer with 16 years of active-duty service, recently testified before Congress on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs), detailing a series of extraordinary events that occurred between 2003 and 2005 at this highly secure installation—home to critical missile defense and space launch operations. He recounts the now-infamous "Red Square" incident—a massive, glowing red square object, the size of a football field, silently hovering over missile silos— and multiple incursions over heavily guarded zones. These events left witnesses shaken and forever changed. The glaring lack of training, protocols, and institutional support for handling such incursions in restricted military airspaceDeeper questions of spirituality, the potential role of predestiny, and how these experiences challenge our understanding of reality in profoundly random yet meaningful waysIt's a candid look at the human side of UAP phenomena, the courage required to speak out, and the urgent need for transparency and better support systems. Whether you're a longtime researcher or new to the topic, Jeff's testimony and reflections offer rare insight from someone who lived it and recently brought it to Congress. Disclosure comes from people like him, not our governments. Jeff will be a guest speaker at @contactinthedesert 2026, May 28-june 1#UAP #UFO #MilitaryWitness #podcast
Dean Alioto, the creator and director of The McPherson Tape, never intended to fool anyone. Produced in 1989 as a film school project, the low-budget movie unexpectedly convinced some well-known ufologists—and even a U.S. Air Force colonel—that the footage depicted a genuine alien abduction. Despite Alioto being upfront from the beginning that the film was fiction, the project—initially dismissed by his school—took on a life of its own.Because Dean was already well-read on UFO lore and alien abduction stories at the time, he drew inspiration from many of the narratives circulating in the late 1980s. That familiarity inadvertently gave the film an authenticity that resonated with parts of the UFO community.Today, decades later, Dean finds himself uniquely positioned to talk about public deception, misinformation, and how easily belief can take hold. Ironically pulled into the world of UFOs and non-human intelligence—despite never originally intending to explore the subject—Alioto now reflects on the strange journey that began with a simple student film.
The Long-Lost Episode Has Been Found! After being thought lost, this incredible interview has finally been recovered and is now being released—albeit a little later than planned. In this episode, we speak with Dave Rich and Marianne Robb, both retired police officers and detectives who have taken on a unique and important mission. Drawing on decades of law-enforcement experience, they are now working to train and educate active police officers about UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) and the possibility of non-human intelligence—phenomena that officers may encounter during the course of their careers.Dave and Marianne discuss why law enforcement needs to be prepared for these encounters, how their training programs work, and why the subject deserves serious attention within professional policing. This is a conversation at the intersection of law enforcement, public safety, and the evolving global conversation around UAP.
