It’s been a minute since  Christina and Ekemini have talked about singleness in the church, so they invited Sekou Browne to join them at the table. Sekou Browne is a writer, filmmaker, and Telly Award–winning producer, as well as a cultural critic exploring the intersection of faith, singleness, and church culture. His work focuses on the gap between the expectations many Christians are given and the realities they experience—particularly around relationships and long-term singleness.His storytelling spans both film and daily writing, where his widely engaged Instagram column has become a space for naming patterns, surfacing unspoken tensions, and creating language around experiences many believers quietly carry. He is also the author of the Yoked newsletter, where he explores faith, relationships, and modern church dynamics through a reflective, story-driven lens. Sekou is the creator of V Card, a vertical series that explores the social and spiritual pressures surrounding sex, dating, and identity within Christian culture.
