The Cop Alex Murdaugh Paid $5,000 Claims THIS About the Missing Weapons

Alex Murdaugh wrote Yemassee Police Chief Greg Alexander a check for $5,000 after the murders at Moselle. Alexander told one outlet the check was written in July 2021. He told another it was written in March. The date on the check doesn't match either version. Alexander was at the crime scene the night Maggie and Paul were killed — a fact his own friend John Marvin Murdaugh confirmed under oath. A South Carolina grand jury is investigating whether Alexander allegedly handled both murder weapons — the .300 Blackout rifle and the 12-gauge shotgun — and bloody clothing that night. Witnesses have allegedly testified to seeing the guns in his hands. Alexander's attorney calls it ‘ridiculous on its face.’ Murdaugh's defense team filed a Brady motion on September 30 alleging the state withheld a witness statement about Alexander from the original trial.
