The Other Sphinx - One Lion Short of a Threshold
Italian researchers recently claimed 80% confidence in a buried second sphinx at Giza, and the mainstream dismissed it before the news cycle finished. But the question they raised is not new. It goes back to the oldest religious texts we have. The god the sphinx was built to embody was Aker, one of the most ancient deities in the Egyptian pantheon.
