On Thursday, Mirra Andreeva picked up the pieces against a frazzled Marta Kostyuk 6-1, 6-3, and Maya Chwalinska remained calm and focused, using her off-pace game to beat Shnaider 7-6, 6-4. Friday was a complete dud, with Alexander Zverev picking up the pieces against a completely gassed and unprepared-for-the-moment Jakub Mensik 7-5, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3. Flavio Cobolli advanced to the final after Matteo Arnaldi withdrew with a viral illness. I wrote this in the last podcast description: "Kostyuk and Mensik are looking GOOD."
