
Today we're camping out in Luke chapter 6, and it answers an important question: Why should we obey Jesus' teachings? Luke opens with Jesus and His disciples walking through grainfields on the Sabbath. The Pharisees immediately accused them of breaking the law, but Jesus reminded them of David eating the consecrated bread when he was in need (Luke 6:3–4). He then made a remarkable statement: "The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath" (Luke 6:5).
