Former federal MP and cabinet minister Kerry-Lynne Findlay has been elected as the new leader of the B.C. Conservative Party, securing a razor-thin victory at the party's leadership convention in Vancouver.Findlay won on the fourth and final ballot with 51% of the vote, narrowly defeating political commentator Caroline Elliott, who finished with 49%. Out of more than 25,000 cast ballots under the party’s weighted system, Findlay secured the leadership by a margin of just 182 points (roughly 60 raw votes).
