Dr. Gonzalez is a Professor of Anthropology at San José State University. He has authored several books including “War Virtually, The Quest to Automate Conflict, Militarize Data, and Predict the Future”. In addition to his research on Silicon Valley’s influence in militarization, Dr. Gonzalez’s fieldwork in cultural anthropology regularly takes him to Oaxaca, Mexico, and his research connects globalization, social and cultural agency, environmental anthropology, and ethics.
