I find it my duty to share this video with you on a decentralized network that will help it from being censored so this information gets out to the people. This video is a presentation from Chainalysis to the IRS and is all about privacy coins with a focus on Monero and the data they can and cannot trace. They also disclose how people can be completely private and cannot be tracked by their system. They go over the tool they use and the data they can pull from the transactions like IP addresses and they can see more if the use used one of the public nodes they operate. So TLDR... If you are an advocate for privacy and you want truly private transactions, then run your own full Monero node and use VPNs or TOR whenever possible.
