They just threw a man out of the synagogue for telling the truth. Jesus doesn't let that sit for a single verse. Picking up in the exact same conversation as last episode, Jesus turns to the same religious leaders who just cast a man out of his own community - and tells them exactly what kind of shepherd he is. Thieves climb walls. Hired hands run when it gets hard. But the Good Shepherd goes looking for the sheep that got left outside, and lays his life down for the ones who can't do a thing to earn it.
