Rosey Roseland: My Friend Paul Schafer

This week Alan Altizer is honored once again to be joined by one of Montana’s legendary traditional bowhunters, Rosey Roseland. Rosey is considered one of the most outstanding Traditional Bowhunters of modern times. His group of trad hunting friends were so successful at killing animals, they were known as “The Wolf Pack”! Among this group was one of his closest friends, Montana legend Paul Schafer. This week Rosey graciously shares a few stories about time spent with Paul. Now in his 70’s, Rosey is living in Alaska and still bowhunting, fishing, and trapping. Additionally, Rosey passes on a few stories of the old days and other friends, and he gives some pointers on setups and bowhunting tips that he has learned from his life as an outdoorsman.   Although Schafe has been gone for way too many years, his memories and stories live on through the Rose.
