One of the greatest things a believer can do is to follow the Lord exactly where he calls of them. To find our purpose and to live in the Will of the Lord is the greatest offering we can give the Lord. One of the difficulties of living in the Will of God is waiting on the Timing of the Lord. The Lord has a time and the difficulty is waiting on that. Abraham had to wait, Joseph had to wait and even Noah had to wait on the Lord. Many times when we are stuck waiting, we can begin to doubt. Paul and Silas were stuck in a prison and could have easily doubted. But the Lord had a time. What do we do as we wait on the timing of the Lord?As always, thanks for listening and praying you have a blessed week. What does it look like to be content in the Lord? In a time where the things of God can satisfy us more than God, our prayer is that we find contentment in the Lord.We consider the story of Jericho and how the people teach us contentment in the Lord. We unpack the story to learn so that we can see many walls of Jericho fall in our life.As always, thanks for tuning in. Walking in faith is one of the hardest things for a believer. Walking in faith requires walking without our physical sight. Pr. Steve reminds us of the power of faith and persevering even in the moments that we do not see. This message prompts our faith and our hope in the Lord. You sure to be encouraged. As a church, we are focusing on the habits of our lives. Many people are looking for deep revelation of the Lord, but the simple things done day by day is how a life changes. As we consider the trajectory of our church, we consider how we will place a great emphasis on our habits and accountability with those habits that we decide. We want to move closer to his image in intentionality and the fear of God. As always, thanks for tuning in. If you have any prayer requests or questions, please email us at theservingchurchdallas@gmail.com. Thanks again and praying the best for you this week! Hosted on Acast. We are considering the difficulty of the Christian journey. We talked about how we are are called to sacrifice and walk alone the last 2 weeks. This week, we consider the difficulty of waiting on the Lord. When the Lord gives a promise, it isn't fulfilled in our time. People throughout scripture waited for different times for the promise of God. Some believe Noah waited over 40 years for the fulfillment of the flood, Abraham waited 25 years for the promise, and Joseph waited 13 years for his dream to come true. None of the promises came at the time the individual desired. This is a difficult component of Christian life. In a world that is so attracted to rushing, what do we do when the Lord has us in a season of waiting. How do we handle the waiting well? We consider this and more in this week's sermon. As always, thanks for listening. If you have any prayer requests or questions, email us at theservingchurchdallas@gmail.com. Thanks and hope you have a blessed week. Hosted on Acast. Throughout the Bible, as people drew near to the Lord, the more isolated their lives became. Noah, David, and even Jesus went through seasons of being alone. This seems difficult because being alone can be one of the hardest experiences of being a human, but still God allows it for different reasons. Why does God do this? This week, we consider this question. Our prayer is that this sermon strengthens your spirit and gives you strength to endure where God has you. As always, please let us know if you have any prayer requests or questions at theservingchurchdallas@gmail.com. Thanks and have a great week Hosted on Acast. Bold Claim: We can make Christianity into what we want it to be. Many people throughout the Bible have made their relationship with God into what the wanted it to be. From the time of Cain and Abel, to the time of the Pharisees, people have hijacked what God intended. This may be true even of us. And one thing you recognize is that God hates when we make something he has intended Holy into something not Holy. How do we guardrail against this? How do we help ourselves so we don't fall victim about making Christianity into what we want? We consider this and more in this week's sermon. As always, we are grateful that you have tuned in and we pray this is a blessing for you. Please email us if you have any prayer requests or questions at theservingchurchdallas@gmail.com. Thanks again and have a great week. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
